A magnificent and extremely elegant French 19th century Louis XVI st. freestanding flamed mahogany and ormolu dessert console, attributed to Beurdeley. The high quality console is raised by four fine topie shaped mahogany feet with ormolu sabots and fluted top caps. The lower and central tiers display beautiful flamed mahogany shelves showcasing the impressive wood grains and framed within charming pierced heart shaped ormolu galleries with lovely fitted fluted ormolu plaques. Each circular column support displays a remarkable fluted design with fitted brass fillets and richly chased ormolu plinths and striking ionic capitals. Above is the original fitted white Carrara marble top framed within a decorative and richly detailed gadroon designed ormolu gallery. All original gilt and warm patina throughout. — Read Less
