A wonderful and most charming pair of French early 19th century Terra Cotta statues, circa 1820. Each statue is raised on a circular Terra Cotta base displaying a ground like surface and tree bark etchings, with the right statue showcasing an intricately sculpted tree trunk. The statue to the left is of a handsome young man wearing period attire while seemingly courting the elegant young woman to his right with a bouquet of flowers. The young maiden in also dressing in period attire, with her wonderfully detailed dress, corset and bonnet.
