An impressive and high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ebony and Giltwood Boulle vitrines. Each beautiful brass inlaid vitrine is raised on four short legs with an arbalest shaped apron and Giltwood trim. The Giltwood fluted rounded corners flank the two Glass doors which have two panels on each door. Both Glass doors have Giltwood bands, with the right door of each vitrine displaying a centrally located keyhole escutcheon with an Ormolu key. Both sides of each vitrine are decorated similarly with two Glass panels and fine Giltwood decorative bands. The doors open to reveal four adjustable shelves with fine Giltwood bands on their edges. The tops have mottled edges with fine Giltwood bands around the edges as well as a pierced connected patterns below the mottled top. Both of these exquisite vitrines can sit very comfortably in an antique and modern setting. — Read Less
