A very wonderful and most attractive Anglo-Indian 19th century black patinated, Bone and Oak box. This unique rectangular box made of veneered blocks of Bone is supported on four squared feet. Along the base of the box is a black-patinated band of beautiful scrolling designs that partially cover the front drawer. The front drawer has a palmette shaped Brass pull with a circular handle. Centrally located on the front panel is the keyhole escutcheon with its original key. Along the edge of the top is an additional black-patinated band of beautiful scrolling designs. The stepped top showcases more black-patinated scrolling designs. This wonderful box opens with its original hardware to reveal its Oak wood interior. — Read Less
