A spectacular large scale French 19th century Louis XV st. ebonized Fruitwood, giltwood and faux painted marble center table. The rectangular table is raised by elegant cabriole legs with fine scrolled feet with acanthus leaf accents and striking palmette like reserves at each corner amidst beautiful scrolled foliate designs. The legs are connected by a lightly scrolled stretcher with additional giltwood foliate accents and centered by a superb berried finial amidst large scrolled acanthus leaves. The apron displays exceptional pierced scrolled movements with most decorative acanthus leaves and lattice designs centered by stunning richly carved dragon like dolphins with remarkable scales connected by an intricately detailed blooming flower garland also repeated at the back. The sides are decorated in the same manner with a superb central seashell. Above is the wonderfully executed faux painted Rouge Antique marble top. All original gilt throughout. — Read Less
