A impressive and extremely decorated Japanese 19th century Chinoiserie st. Imari porcelain and patinated Bronze clock. This intricately designed clock is mounted by patinated Bronze supports decorated by scrolling movements and two majestic dragons posing on either side of the base. On both sides of the body of the urn are abstract patinated Bronze figures of a monkeys' head atop an elephant. Just below the clock face is a phoenix with open wings perched on a branch. The circular clock is detailed with patinated Bronze hands, Mandarin dial numbers, and Bronze Coeur-de-Rai outer band. The top crown of the clock contains floral garlands and acanthus leaves. On the opposite side of the clock is a circular patinated Bronze rear entry to the clocks' mechanism that displays a wavy sunburst design. Atop the lid of the urn is a patinated Bronze 'foo dog' which is a symbol of protection. The body and lid have fascinating and colorful designs of blooming flowers and scrolling patterns throughout. — Read Less
