An elegant French late 19th century Transitional st. Tulipwood, Ormolu and Brèche d'Alep marble side table. This beautifully designed three drawer side table is raised on four tapered cabriole legs with wrap around Ormolu sabots with richly chased acanthus leaves. Joining the legs is a kidney shaped bottom tier that is decorated with a stunning parquetry inlay framed within an outer inlaid band. The front apron has three drawers decorated by the same wonderful parquetry, Ormolu pulls and charming rosettes. Above each leg is inlaid with a vertical Tulipwood veneer leading to the top. The top shelf is fitted with a handsome Breche d'Alep marble which is surrounded by an attractive raised pierced Ormolu gallery on both sides and the back. — Read Less
