A stunning and extremely high quality Italian early 18th century Baroque Period white Carrara marble, Mecca, and polychrome wall plaque. The oval plaque depicting harvesting grapes in the fall retains its beautiful and most decorative original frame with a richly carved wrap around Mecca acanthus leaf band with a fine mottled polychrome and reeded border. The spectacular solid white Carrara marble plaque depicts charming and intricately detailed Bacchanalian cherubs harvesting grapes from beautiful scrolled vines. The cherub's wonderfully executed hair is blowing in the wind with two at the center eating from the woven basket while the others are playing and picking grapes. Exceptional attention to detail throughout. — Read Less
