A French 19th Century Neo-Classical St. Patinated Bronze And Ormolu Warwick Vase

A striking and very handsome French 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated bronze and ormolu Warwick vase with its original base/stand. The vase is raised by its original tripod style base with fine paw feet and large acanthus leaves. Connecting each leg is a fine stretcher centered by a foliate and acorn finial while above are scrolled pierced movements and palmettes. The impressive Warwick Vase is raised by a fluted socle pedestal while at the body are the Bacchic gods below a charming grape vine. To each side are striking intertwined handles and the top rim is decorated with a fine beaded and les oves pattern. Wonderful satin and burnished finish throughout.
Can also be used as planter.
