Item # 7180A
A stunning and monumental true pair of Italian 17th century giltwood and gilt iron six arm cherub candelabra torchières, circa 1680. Each torchière is raised by a sensationally 19th century faux painted Porphyry pedestal, with a mottled bottom design and a square base. Seated on each pedestal is a charming and richly carved giltwood draped cherub holding an impressive cornucopia. Each large scale and wonderfully executed cherub displays most detailed and charming features. Above the finely carved cornucopia are six scrolled gilt iron arms adorned with acanthus leaves with giltwood bobeches, centered by an impressive gilt iron crown design. Displayed with our signature Cedric DuPont Antique two tone pin tuck silk shades. The silhouette is 6 feet tall.
