An elegant and high quality French early 19th century Louis XVI st. tulipwood and ormolu mounted two door cabinet. The cabinet is raised by a mottled base centered by a fine pierced foliate mount of tied berried laurel bands. At the center are two doors, each decorated with a striking bottom quarter veneered panel emphasizing the beautiful wood grain. All framed within a foliate ormolu border while above is ormolu chicken wire framed within the same ormolu band. Displayed with and without the removable ivory colored curtains. The two doors open to reveal the original handsome top to bottom
hardware and four adjustable shelves. At each top corner are elegant and richly chased ormolu mounts of charming tied ribbons amidst detailed foliate movements in a striking satin and burnished finish. The top crown displays a fine and most decorative wrap around foliate ormolu band. All original gilt throughout.
