A magnificent French 19th century Louis XV st. mahogany, burl walnut and ormolu display table. Raised on elegant cabriole legs with ormolu sabots and chutes that continue up each leg and follow the contour of the apron. The frieze is slightly curved and has burl walnut inlays with a central ormolu keyhole escutcheon. Extraordinary and high quality finely chased ormolu mounts of foliate garlands and scrolls adorn the sides and corners of the frieze. The glass top is within an ormolu trim and burl walnut inlay amidst mahogany border. A wonderfully chased ormolu border follows the contour of the top that may be raised to the silk lined display interior. All original glass and hardware throughout.
